Smoked Beer Can Chicken
Have you ever seen a motorcycle-riding chicken? How about a motorcycle-riding beer can chicken on the char-griller gravity 980?? This 4th of July weekend, put down the fireworks and like a fire under this juicy bird. What better way to celebrate independence day than a chicken riding a Miller riding a Harley-Davidson?

Ingredients:
1 Chicken
1 Half Drunk Beer
Favorite Poultry Dry Rub
Beer Can Holder/Apparatus
Directions:
Pat Chicken dry and put a light layer of oil on the outside skin.
Season your chicken generously all over, and sprinkle some in the inside cavity as well.
Either drink or pour out half of your beer and place it in the beer can holder. (If you don’t have one, check out the link below to get your own)
Position the chicken over the beer and place in the smoker until the internal temp hits 160(f). I usually read the temperature from the deepest part of the breasts. They are the furthest away from the heat, so normally are the last area to hit that temp.
Pull from smoker, and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
Remove from the holder, and carve to your preference.
Enjoy!
